Steve & Stacy's Wedding

After 17 years together, my aunt Stacy married her love, Steve. I was extremely happy when I heard they finally decided to make things official. Not only for them but also for the rest of the family ... it gave us a reason to get together and celebrate! Aunt Stacy has always been the "cool" young aunt of ours ... laid-back, supportive and fun! And, since she's been with Steve half of my life, Steve has always been "Uncle Steve" to me. They are a great match. Shortly after announcing their plans to wed, Stacy asked if I'd be their photographer. Although I was a little intimidated (I'd never shot a wedding before), I knew I couldn't say no and let them down. It would be an honor to capture their special day. Plus, since she's my aunt, even if I messed up, she'd have to still love me! ;)

It was a beautiful wedding with their children and adorable grandkids serving as the wedding party. A lot of our family was there as well as many friends of Stacy and Steve's. Everyone was excited to celebrate this long-awaited marriage!

After my photography duties were complete, I was able to let loose and chat with family members and even hit the dance floor. Being out there with my mom, sister, aunts and cousins was special ... it left me with a big smile on my face and a warmth in my heart. A lot of time has passed since I was a little kid, growing up alongside these family members; however, the happiness felt, while in their presence, is still the same.
