Framed Botanical Print for Ryan

I love, love to give personalized, one-of-a-kind gifts to others. Typically these are items I either design or put together with purchased items. The gift I gave Ryan for his birthday this year was one of these items. When doing a design inspiration search on Pinterest for Ryan's annual Pioneer holiday party invitation, I came across a really cool vintage botanical print of corn. Lucky for me, there was a link, which brought me to Vintage Inclination on Esty. I not only found all the details about this printed page (from a 1960's Great Britain botanical book), I discovered that it was available for purchase. Score. And, it was only $13. Bonus. I impulsively decided to purchase it. I figured I could have it framed or, at the very least, have it on hand for a rainy-day project. Plus, if you know my husband and his affinity for corn, it was bound to be a hit.

Once I received the print, I decided I had to have it framed. I went to Hobby Lobby (not necessarily my favorite place for framing but always reasonably priced and quick) and picked out the frame and matte, and, within two weeks, it was in my hands and ready to give to Ryan. He really liked it, but, unfortunately, we don't really have a place within his office to hang it. I guess it must be all the other corn-related custom gifts I've given him over the years taking up the wall space! Ha! We hope to find a place for it some time soon.
